Excalade is a very
tightly linebred buck, who we feel will be very prepotent in passing
on his strengths. From what we have seen from Excalade so far, this
theory is proving true. His daughters are doing well in the show
ring, with LakeShore EXC Jordyn 3*M (EX90) being 7th place Two
Year-Old at the 2007 Nationals and LakeShore EXC Bella Vista placing
6th in the Intermediate Kid class. Excalade is making mammary
improvements, adding width to the rear udders, correct teat size and
placement, as well as smoothly blended, snugly attached fore udders.
His daughters are also correct in general appearance and very well
balanced. Excalade is very correct and structurally sound with a strong
topline, wide loin and a long, wide, flat rump. Excalade is also
smooth blending through the front end, stands on strong feet and
legs and has good openness of ribbing and angularity. He comes from
a very strong dam line; his dam, GCH L/F EX Sierra 3*M (EX92), won
her class at both the 2001 and 2005 National Shows; maternal sister,
GCH L/F Sierra Storm 4*M (EX90), won her class at the 2004 National
Show, and another sister, LakeShore Ace Sierra Vista 4*M (EX91) was
4th place Two Year-Old at the 2007 National Show. Excalade’s
paternal sister, GCH Lynnhaven E Paradise 7*M (EX92), was the 2002
National Champion with Reserve Best Udder.
