We
are always on the lookout for a new outcross buck and Manhattan fit
the bill. Although he was extremely stingy with doelings (only one
born this past year), we are pleased with the progeny that he is
producing. His only daughter born, LakeShore QM Brooklyn, is a
striking kid and was 3rd place Intermediate Kid at the
2005 National Show. Hopefully Manhattan will be much more
cooperative this year and allow us to add some more stylish
daughters to the herd.
Manhattan’s
unique style can often be summed up as extreme.
He is extremely tall, sharp and upstanding in the front end,
extremely long bodied with a strong topline and wide, flat rump and
well angulated rear legs with proper set and width between the
hocks. Manhattan is very closely related to Prairie Patch Miller,
the sire of the 2005 ADGA National Champion, GCH Lassenwood Miller
Kalila and many other lovely daughters who have competed well at
National Shows. |
