 Risque is a doe who continues to surprise us…having been born the smallest of quads, she spent her first year at home being spoiled rotten, then made her debut as a dry yearling—being named the 2008 Reserve Junior National Champion, before freshening as a two year-old with one of the most correct mammaries in the herd.
Her mammary has continued to impress us with its
tremendous area of attachment, width and smoothness in the rear udder, overall shape and balance in side profile, combined with excellent strength of medial and teat placement. She sustained a
serious teat injury as a two year-old, which appeared to
have healed nicely, but quickly caused her to become off-balance
shortly after kidding this past spring, preventing her
from making an appearance in the show ring. Risque has
since been retired from the show ring, but is a valuable
member of our herd as a strong brood doe.
Risque is strong and straight over the topline, walks with a lot of width between the hocks and stands on strong feet and legs, something that is prevalent in her dam line. Her first appearance in the show ring as a two year-old, earned her wins of 1x1st, 2x2nd and 1x3rd in competitive classes of 12+ animals.
